Updated: Nov 13

Setting the Tone for 2025 Growth Strategy

November 12, 2024, Bangkok, Thailand – The Gurdforce AI team recently concluded the strategy workshop in Bangkok, Thailand, laying the foundation for 2025 growth plans. This event brought together members from both headquarters and the Thailand team to emphasize cross-departmental and cross-regional collaboration, ensuring alignment of information and strategies to drive future growth.

During the workshop, participants engaged in comprehensive discussions about the local business landscape in Thailand, clarifying overall strategies and establishing a unified direction on various functions, including marketing, finance, legal, and human resources. The team highlighted the importance of effective communication between all functional departments at headquarters and the Thai team to better support their initiatives and accelerate company growth.

Guardforce AI's senior leadership shared insights on the key characteristics that define the team, emphasizing professionalism, hard work, passion,  responsibility, and resilience.

Catherine Zuo, CFO of Guardforce AI, shared her perspective on a data-driven approach and team collaboration. “The finance team should be data-oriented and moving beyond merely crunching numbers. The value-added role of finance lies in handling analytical tasks and providing supportive insights that enhance operational efficiency. Embracing a business partner mentality is crucial, not just within the finance team, but across all departments.”

Former COO Tommy Kwan later added that hard work is embedded in the company culture: “Cash logistics is an industry built on customer relations, professionalism, and hard work. Clients have long decision-making cycles, and our consistent communication makes a huge difference. We work for what we earn. This trait helped us build what we have today.”

Managing Director of Thai Cash, Kelvin Chu, and Director of Business Development, Laksana Traichira-aporn, shared insights on local operations and plans for 2025. They noted, “We’ve been building this business for the past 40 years with passion and hard work. Many of our employees have raised their families through this company. We are working harder to establish a stronger foundation to pass on to the next generation of leaders. That is the responsibility which drives us every single day.”

Chairwoman and CEO Olivia Wang closed the workshop with a strategic roadmap and appreciation to the local team. She highlighted the resilience that has fueled the company’s growth through the past decades: “Our growth roots in fulfilling clients’ evolving needs. Moving forward, our focus will not only strengthen our current security foundation, but also expand our offerings to include smart retail solutions and AI solutions. This approach will build a well-rounded ecosystem for our clients. No matter how many obstacles lie ahead throughout our innovation journey, we have never given up, and will never stop trying.”

The workshop concluded with a special acknowledgment of Tommy’s contributions as he celebrated his retirement. The team expressed their commitment to moving forward together, focusing on future developments and innovations.
